Sonia’s Bio
Sonia D. Taylor, M.Ed., LPC (she/her)
When working with me, you receive compassion, acceptance, collaboration, and humor as we journey together through the discomfort and complexities of life. I have extensive clinical experience working with clients who have overcome many of life’s crossroads. If you or someone you love is struggling, please do not hesitate to schedule a free consultation. We are all struggling. I feel that. I’m here to walk with you through your own unique journey to discover healing and meaning.
Expect a comprehensive approach to your care that is inclusive, not prescriptive. As a Kink Conscious Certified therapist currently pursuing my Psychology doctorate in Clinical Sexology, I am committed to the varied dynamics of relationships and sexual health, including the communities of kink and BDSM. I believe human sexuality is a large part of mental health, and a necessary component of overall wellness. Being a Functional Medicine Practitioner, I believe in determining the root cause by looking holistically. My own diverse experience helps me in that pursuit.
I am fascinated how the field of psychology and interconnected disciplines are constantly evolving. I keep up with the latest research through books, articles, studies, and training with leaders in the fields of emerging treatments and modalities. I am proud to say I'm a lifelong learner and see those benefits flourish in my therapy sessions. I enjoy hearing how well my clients are doing and seeing their progress in treatment.
